Environmental passport of a company

Environmental Passport of an enterprise is a set of information about the environmental impact of the enterprise, which contains information about the types of products manufactured or services rendered, raw materials and materials used.

Ecological passport contains all data on use of resources (natural and secondary) by an individual entrepreneur or a legal entity and expresses information about the impact of production on the natural environment.

In accordance with article 37 of the Law of the Republic of Belarus "On environment protection" the ecological passport shall be developed by legal entities, individual entrepreneurs that submit at least one of the forms for annual statistical reporting.

In case of absence of the document, this violation shall be eliminated according to instructions of territorial bodies of the Ministry of Nature Protection. In case of non-compliance with the instructions, penalties shall apply:

for an individual enterprise - up to 100 BV,
for a legal entity - 500 BV.

The ecological passport is developed on the basis of State Standard of the Republic of Belarus STB 17.01.00-01-2012 "Environmental protection and management of natural resources. Ecological passport of an enterprise. General provisions".

THE ECOLOGICAL PASSPORT CONTAINS THE FOLLOWING MANDATORY SECTIONS:
title page;
general information on the environmental user;
production characteristics of the natural resource user;
protection of atmospheric air;
use of land resources;
water consumption and disposal;
industrial waste management;
information on transport of the enterprise;
measures for rational use of natural resources and environmental protection;
programme of production analytical control and (or) local monitoring in the field of environmental protection;
cartographic material.

The ecological passport is approved by the head of the enterprise. It is allowed to make changes and additions to the ecological passport annually until March 1.

ALTERATIONS TO THE ECO-SHEET

The Environmental Passport is filled in once a year. The data are entered as of 1 January of the current year. Any alterations and additions to the eco-sheet are to be done till 1st of March.

In case of change of ownership of immovable property, a new environmental passport is not required. However, a change in the production profile requires the development of a new document.
